On the Hunt

After trying this on, I've decided I'm officially on the hunt for the perfect jean jacket.

This one, from Forever 21, was a little bit too wide for me, but I love the wash and it was so soft. I'll definitely be looking for something very similar to this one.

Any recommendations??

Dutch Braid & Hat

Just a quick (and over exposed) photo of a hairstyle I did a while back. I saw this on Pinterest and had to recreate it. It's basically just a simple dutch braid around the nape of my neck and then I put a hat on top! It's a cute and easy way to get the hair off of your neck and still be able to wear a hat. Hope you guys like it!!

Brandy Melville shorts

Hey guys! Just wanted to show you an outfit I created to try dressing up these pajama shorts from Brandy Melville. I think they would look super cute, with tan gladiator heels, sadly I don't have a pair of those though, so I went with my black heel ankle boots. The button down shirt kind of reminds me of the button down pajama tops, but a black sheer top is a more formal version (and it matches my shoes). Coming up with it in my head I was kind of worried it wouldn't look that great in reality, but I was pleasantly surprised when I put it on. I think this outfit would be great on cooler summer days and a transitioning outfit from summer to fall. You could recreate this outfit with any pair of loose comfy shorts and a semi loose button down top.

Which Fall Blanket?

I'm looking for something I can just throw on to keep me a little warmer during the fall. I love the look of capes and it's basically like wearing a blanket out in real life, which is a dream come true for me! I've started to look into a cape for this fall, but I also found some extra large square scarfs that could double as a cape, and now I'm not sure which to get. I'm thinking that a large scarf would be enough for the fall and could also be used during the winter as, what it is, an oversized scarf. These are some I'm looking at, let me know what you think!

Flower Quartz Ear Pin

When I found this earring on Fashionology the other day, I was so excited. It's so cute and sparkly which I love. The photos don't capture how delicate and beautiful in person the earring is. How it  captures the light and shines bright. Over a year ago I pinned a photo of an earring very similar to this on Pinterest and I've been looking for it ever since.

Fashionology is handmade sterling silver jewelry, I would check them out if you like really simple and cute pieces. Their jewelry is very simple and geometric and their new collection has a lot of tribal aspects. Their pieces are very different than anything I see everywhere else. I also really liked these Teardrop Quartz earring and these Dot earrings. 

I must also add that they have great customer service, unfortunately one of the quartz stones fell out the same day that I received the piece. I contacted them and they quickly replied and were so nice about it, they sent me a new earring right away. All their jewelry has a one year warranty, which I am forever grateful for.

I have some actual photos of this outfit on my camera, but unfortunately I can't get them onto the computer and edit them at the moment, so there will be another, bigger post on this outfit with better photos and where it came from. Unfortunately I can only post photos from my phone, so there will probably be a lot of POV outfits and other things that didn't go on Instagram up on the blog for the next month or so.
